“O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures”

Psalm 104:24

ARTIST STATEMENT

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creation and the work of my own two hands. What started as a high school art class with Nancy Butler turned into a path I never expected. I’ve tried to outrun it a time or two, but somehow art always catches back up with me. The Lord has a way of steering us toward the things He laid on our hearts from the start.

Scripture says God formed Adam from the dust and breathed life into him. That picture of His hands shaping something so simple into something living has stayed with me. It’s a reminder that every bit of creation points back to Him, and I try to carry that truth into my work.

My hope is that my art reflects even a small glimpse of His beauty that it brings light, tells honest stories, and carries the values I was raised on. At the end of the day, if my work leads someone’s eyes back to the Creator, then I’ve done what I set out to do.
